Manchester Mega Mela was successfully organised on 23rd and 24th July 2011 in Plattfield Park, Manchester.
The Association wishes to congratulate Brightsun Travel UK Ltd on its 25 years of service in travel business. The travel company has recently celebrated its Silver Jubilee in London.
The Association would also like to thank Chairman R. S. Nangla and the staff of Brightsun Travel for their help and supoorts over the years.
The Association held it's Annual Summer Picnic in the ground of Tatton Park, Knutsford, Cheshire on Sunday, 3rd July 2011. The members who attended the picnic not only enjoyed open air and sunny weather but also delicious Nepalese food provided by Singh Raj and Bimala Shrestha of Indian Valley Restaurant, Swinton.
The Nepalese Association is organising the Annual Summer Picnic in Tatton Park, Knutsford, Cheshire on Sunday, 3rd July 2011 at 12 noon. The Association invites everyone to attend the picnic. The programme for the day follows as:

The Nepalese New Year 2068 celebration kicked off at 1 pm on 17th April 2011 in Manchester as Association President welcomed the capacity crowd which included members of the Association and British friends from up and down the country.
His Exclelncy Nepalese Ambassador Dr Suresh Chandra Chalise extended his best wishes for the New Year. He also applauded the good work of the Association. President Puspa Shrestha thanked all for their hard work to make the event a grand success.
The 20th Annual general Meeting was convened at The Waterside Hotel, Manchester on 16th April 2011 at 4 pm. Association President welcomed the members attending the meeting. General Secretary Bijay Shrestha and Treasurer Dr Yogendra Bajracharya presented the Annual report and Financial Report of the Association respectively. members discussed various agenda including the planned 5th Nepal Himalayan Festival 2012.
The 20th Annual Convetion was convened at the Waterside Hotel, Manchester on 16th April 2011. More members than ever before, including His excellency Nepalese Ambassador to the UK, Dr Suresh Chandra Chalise were in attance for the Annual Convention this year and made full use of the Hotel's leisure facilities. They had come from Northern Ireland, Scotland, Wales, the North West, North East, Yorkshire, Midlands, London and the South East of England.

19th March 2011. Fagu (Holi), the festival of colours, was celebrated in Kathmandu and various hilly and mountainous districts across Nepal, Saturday. The festival will be celebrated tomorrow in the Terai districts.
People smear various colours including the red vermillion powder and put water on each other to mark the festival.
